I know Browning arms is making two models, but is anyone else producing this things? FNH is making something based on the hi-power, but a little too different for me.

The Browning Arms Company of Morgan, Utah, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fabrique Nationale de Herstal, Belgium.
they are the only company making the Hi-Power.

Browning is still importing the MKIII contract model and the original blue steel/walmnut job. I believe FEG is marketing it's guns to Charles Daly (at least the parts). FNH was manufacturing the Browning Highpower with the SFS system but stopped. It was a limited run. Arcus of Bulgaria makes a knockocff but uses different styling and probably some different internals. The FNH SFS was a good deal for only $499 shelf price. FN guns are not as expensive if they do not have that word "Browning" on them. Browning does not make guns. They do R&D and importing only. John Browning never wanted his company to manufacture, just design. FN, FNH-USA, Sauer, Ruger, Beretta as well as the japanese have either made whole guns for Browning or just magazines (Ruger makes the Buckmark magazine).

That would be Browning.

Everything else is just an imitation.

Go for the original. It is well worth it both in quality, and in future value if that means anything to you.
