Science cannot disprove the existence of God and believing in God does not mean you must disregard the rules of science. The question of how and why we exist has never been conclusively answered by men and this is why we have differing views on the purpose and meaning of life.
Personally I don't think the religious works of the past have much relevance to my existence but also think they hold some valuable guides for those who want to lead a rewarding life.
If God is real, surely he wants us to respect and honor people of every culture and belief. To use religion or nationality as an excuse to hate each other must be wrong.

well because for a strart stoneage religions were those of our ancestors. the religions of today are based on a patriarchal deity, which is in essence man made. the old druid and pagan faiths concentrated on nature, and festivals were used to mark the turn of the seasons for agriculture etc. the first 'religious ' artworks were found in cave drawings thousands of years ago. did you know that a lot of the current modern festivals were built upon pagan ones...yule....festival for the birth of the sun (son in christianity )christmas trees, were decorated in the home to symbolise light. Easter taken from the pagan festival oestra...(oestrogen for production of eggs in female ovaries ) .the season of reproduction and growth...thats why symbolic eggs are given and you see cards with cute chicks on and lots of fluffy bunnies. when some one gets married they are married in white and called a bride....the pagan goddess Brede, symbolising the maiden aspect of the moon and new beginings.........all of these festivals were taken away from pagans when it became law for the christian faiths to destroy them....hope this helps....fairy tales were meant to be a way of recording events as a story to avoid being burned as a witch too. just stories about events which were disguised and handed down to children through the ages. .....

Some things never change, even over time... we live in the 21st century, yet we still believe in 'gravity' - we can't see it, touch, taste, etc... yet we can see it's effects in our every day lives.

Some believe in these 'stone age fairy tales & religions' because they truely believe they see the effects of such in their day to day lives as well.

Fairy memories have been written with the aid of people who have been secretly making relaxing of or complaining approximately their therapy with the aid of their government/rulers. in case you're speaking approximately GOD, it relatively is a private concept, which in case you do no longer desire to have self belief in is okay, yet to tell others that they are in a position to basically have self belief as you do is erroneous in all varieties of the be conscious. Telling somebody what to have self belief in or to no longer have self belief in is surely getting rid of their own rights and freedom. Many have self belief through fact of private adventure others do no longer desire evidence, in spite of if it relatively is THEIR option to have self belief or no longer. There surely is evidence obtainable (from the final a hundred (+/-) years) which grow to be observed with the aid of hundreds, which incorporate journalists whom the government had further in to teach that it does no longer happen. concern is people who do no longer desire to have self belief will forget approximately this evidence asserting (like that government) it not at all befell or grow to be an complex hoax. there grow to be no thank you to pretend the occurrence, and one reporter switched over from ATHEIST to CATHOLIC. He later grew to grow to be an particularly prominent reporter for American television. look it up. It grow to be interior the 1900's and observed as the Miracle of the San.

I reckon we'd be in a better state if we did; cycle of life stuff, seasonal living, respect to animals, plants and environment. Seems very healthy to me.

Relgion is a fear response to realising your size in the universe. When more people start to fight that fear instead of giving into it, religion will die.

While religion remains, stupidity reigns!
