I know sakuras are traditionally red and pink, but I want it to be in blue and orange (different flowers). I have a half done tatt with a few sakuras, getting it coloured in a month's time. I'm pretty tanned (think the rock), would it be possible?

I am having a hard time picturing cherry blossoms in those colors. Maybe if they are done softly - more of a pastel look - that would make sense. I think soft blues would look good on your skin tone and the right orange....it would have to be maybe toward a peachy tone.

i wouldn't because i remember on an episode of miami ink, one of the tattooist said that he didn't like using blue or purple color ink on tan skin because when it starts to fade away, it will look kinda grayish

it would look odd to me. but its all in the reason behind you wanting those colors, if they have some sort of meaning for you i guess i would reconsider.
