I am open to either one of these so I just want some ideas on which one people might prefer:

1) CHICKEN WELLINGTON - Chicken breast topped with wild mushrooms, served with Port Wine sauce, wild rice pilaf, vegetables

2) STUFFED CHICKEN - Airline chicken breast stuffed with wild mushrooms, dauphinoise potatoes, vegetables

I would choose Chicken Wellington. It would be far easier to scrape off the mushrooms/sauce if someone didn't care for them, than having them stuffed inside the chicken and having to monitor every bite to make sure they don't accidentally eat one.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!

Can I get chicken with no mushrooms? Really neither menu is uber appetizing but if I had to choose one I really would want a combination of the Chicken Wellington with the rice and the potatoes. But really some people are allergic to mushrooms or really just hate them so keep that in mind if ya can.

If I were you I'd go with Chicken Wellington. Coming from a Bride-to-Be, with a fiancee who HATES mushrooms, it would be a lot easier for someone to just scoop the mushrooms to the side rather than have it already stuffed and cooked inside the chicken. You want everyone to be able to eat. Congrats!!

I'm vegetarian and don't eat chicken... but the first one sounds more appealing to me the way it's laid out. Also, I love wild rice! I would choose wild rice over potatoes any day. ;o)

Another choice is to have two options on your RSVP cards for people to choose. I'm going to a wedding next week and there were three options on the card: chicken, salmon or vegetarian. Then people could choose and it costs them the same with the catering company anyway.

What is Airline Chicken breast? I don't know what that is, both chickens sound good though, I prefer dauphinoise potatoes over rice any day.

1. Chicken Wellington . . .

But . . . I'd also try to get an option for the vegetarians on the guest list. Maybe a pasta primavera?
