Hello, I am 16 years old and I'm an immigrant in America. I have a case in court, I am wondering is there any way so I can drive? I have no social security.

First get the Social Security number. You cannot work without it and you are required to have one if you are here legally. Then all you do is taken a written test followed by a driving test. Some States restrict the license of 16 yr. olds to certain times of day and whether you can have passengers or not. Your only problem would be if your court case is a traffic violation in which case you may not be able to get a license until you are 18.

you can always drive, but the question is..may you drive? The awnser is no unless you prefer to break the laws. If you are irregular in the country (illegal) i recomend you take the bus. Driving in USA its easy but you need a few documents even though you have no SSN you can still drive, you would need to arrive at the drivers license office and show your documentation EX: your visa (not if you're a tourist) and if/or you have another driver license from your home country, and ID and your birth certificate. As long as you're legal in the country all you need its the proof that you're legal in the USA.

You can get an International Driving License from your country of origin. Thats the only way I think there is. There is no way that you can get a Social Security card when you have a pending case in court.

It depends on if you are legal or not. Sure you can drive, even if illegally if you don't get caught. If you don't have a social security card, then you are probably not legal to drive. If you do, you may be arrested.

Illegal? Live in CA? CAN'T GET ONE! I don't know about other states.

You can always drive but you would be breaking the law.
