I want to a pat dog thats going to be grown in a apartment. I want a dog that is mid-ferocious, mid-size, needs less grooming , less exercise needs. I found Labrador to be suitable for my needs. What are your suggestions on that, what are the other dogs that qualify? What are things i need to look for before buying a dog. Thank you.

A labrador is a very friendly dog (i also have one). Nobody wont be able to answer your question because most of the other users are foreign. A labrador is a playful dog so you need to have large space for playing with him. They are also good companions . You shoul not let him feel alone. Labradors are hihly intelligent so you need not worry about them . They have a huge diet. They (adults) dont like to eat the same food everyday. As they are very playful so they need to have a lot of toys.

yes i am a dog breeder i own many dogs of different breeds i dont think labrador is the right choice because its not ferocious and cant live in apartment and wants some or the other activity everytime i think mid - ferocious is a bit confusing i mean nothing mid ferocious there are ferocous dogs and pet dogs and labrador is a pet dog and needs lots of grooming at spring i now have a golden retriever because i dont live in an apartment i have my own house and a big play ground. you have to adjust with 'mid ferocious' because youll find no dog like that and if adjust then doberman would be the best choice because it has everything except mid ferocious its highly ferocious if you can adjust then no point of getting an other dog.hope youll take my suggestion seriously.thank you

Mid-ferocious??
I do not know if you are serious. But please, for your sake, and your neighbors do not keep a Lab in an apartment.
Labs need a ton of exercise, and will often become neurotic and unmanageable if kept in an apartment. And they need alot of grooming. Every spring, (and sometimes yearlong) a Labrador sheds enough fur to knit a blanket!
Labs are large dogs, not mid-size.
For an apartment, get a small dog. A Pug, or something like that. Short hair, and they won't need more exercise than you will. And their bark won't disturb your neighbors as much.
I am a little disturbed by your "mid-ferocious" requirement.
If you want your dog to be around people, it should not be ferocious at all. If this is something you need in a dog PLEASE do not get one.

Rajapalayam, may be most suited! i am very fond of Lab., admire the Lab., but a flat, in chennai climate, calls for some thinking!
