ok so my uncle is 66 to 67 years old his wife is 36 or so and they ahve a 10 yr old son the husband and wife live in the same house but never see eachother theyr realtionship is nonexistent tyhe only reason they live with eachother is for the childs sake the husband has anger issues and takes medication for it they have had many fights but he may or may not have threatened to kill her and she called the cops is the charge atempted murder? or just a threat? because he wouldnt do it but he gets angry alot and doesent know what to say bail is at 100,000 dollars wat can we do should he fight it or plead guilty and also agree to angerr management and severe counseling and increasing his medication?

ok more details my uncles wife doesent cook doesnt do laundry doesent do anything she leaves home in the morning and comes at night shes russian and finally finnished pharamcology and got a high paying job the husbnand is a painter with no stable job she used hime to come to america and she always had plans of leaving him but he didnt want a divorce because he doesent want his son to be in that situation the womans evil all i know is they got into an argument and he migh or moght ot have hit her he has before he has alot of anger issues
i know he didnt get a knife and pushed at her or or anthing like that hes not that dumb he has a kid in the house wich he loves alot but the wife is bent on getting rid of him and she has sufficient evidence such as the "death threat" and some spousal abuse but since he has been on medication for anger issues couldt he get off light? with sum jail time community service a fine or anger management?

Your uncle must not be very smart. It is very harmful for his son to live in an environment like this. He should not plead guilty because he might wind up in prison if he does. He can't be convicted if it is her word against him. He should file for divorce and ask for the house since she has the means to buy another one and he probably doesn't. He could also ask for custody, if he wants it.

You say your uncle would not kill her. There are two cases in Today's (Sat) paper of men who are charged with killing their wives and kids. There are probably a lot more, but these two turned up on the national news. So, he might snap and do it.

He is doing permanent damage to his son living this way. He needs to take anger management and not live with his wife. There are many things worse than divorced parents and this is certainly one of them.
