ok wow some people are being really rude. We can afford a dog its just that I personally can't afford it becasue I'm to young to get a job so please be more considerate. My mom and I already know what the consequences of getting a chihuahua is. If yer going to leave a rude coment save it fer someone else because I'm just askin around for some ideas so please be more considerate!

You dont need a dog.

"it needs to be very easy to take care of" if you are already stressing about the care of a dog, you are in for a rude awakening. You need to educate yourself about bringing a dog into a home, espically that breed which is known for their housebreaking issues, yappy barking, and seperation anxiety. Asking for a "free" dog only shows that you probably cannot financially provide for a dog. Sure, anyone can give a dog ,food and water. But how are you going to afford vet care? Chihuahua's are tiny, and they can get hurt easily, they can break a leg if you step on them, or if they fall of something high. Have you thought about regular vet care, spay and neuter, which can run $100 flea and heartworm preventitive which must be given regularly? What if the dog needs surgery? Microchipping incase the dog gets lost? Good Quality food for the next 15,20 years? Dont look for a free dog. After you are SURE you can provide for one, rescue from a shelter, save a dog's life and get your mom a friend.

Okay first off I have a chihuahua, and she is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me! I think they are amazing animals and very loyal. I don't blame your mom for wanting one but I will tell you good luck getting it free or cheap cause they are very expensive! I will say this I would not reccomend it to your mom if she doesnt want an extra 5 pounds of dog in her lap 24/7! That is no joke! but good luck!

P.S. All those mean things ppl say about them are lies it is all hear say they are very nice and they are not all YAPPY! :)

those breed dogs might belittle annoying sometimes cause i once had negosh keep barking barking at everybody else that comes by to the house .but it how that owners had train them and raise them . well have you try to look threw the newspapers ad's where there are some dog breeders whom does live close by youre town or area ? I know that if you get a dog form online will cost you alot of mony by hainvg them to ship the poor dogs out states ? so i would try to check on the newspapers ad's first thing . i know that in calif owners might dedicate to cut the prices for a puppy to sell them for shorty costs. causei live in calif too but i know that you can fiind someone who does live youre area who will in gav free or sell cheaper. it how the breeders want for the costs ? teacups chilichua puppies looks cutie and nice but sometimes not friendly to other pets.

A Chihuahua... They aren't even pets. They are ugly and very much like pests... Get her a nice dog. Chihuahua's are vicious.. And they look like rats.

don't live near you or have a chihuahua for sale, but you should check out this site, it can help you find some in your area for sale!
http://www.petfinder.com/

I also recommend checking local shelters weekly. they often have pure breeds and small dogs, but they go quickly so make sure you check weekly, it also might help to let them know you're looking, then if they get any they can call you or something.
