Hot water or steam opens your pores. If you want smaller looking pores you could trying putting on a toner as soon as you get out of the shower.

Your pores don't contain muscles, so you can't tighten them. There's nothing you can do to change the size of them. They will however, appear smaller if they are clean and not clogged with oils & dirt. You should use a good exfolliator to keep you skin fresh. Always use sunscreen.

It does work for a while. You want to wash your face well so you don't trap the dirt and bacteria in the "shrinking" pores. You get a similar effect with toners like witch hazel and commercial toners.

yea... because cold tighten the pores, hot enlarge it. it will feel pink temporary only, bcoz ur nerve repector is effecting the sudden temperature change from the external environment. which is why the pores "contract" when in touch wid cold.

Sorry. This is a myth. Hot and cold do not affect pores. Cold can reduce swelling and moist heat can soften the hardened surface. But that's it.
To those who disagree, I am open to any explaiation as to exactly what does cold affect to cause the pore to close, swrink.
