Why is it that DNA evidence show that there is no animal that has come from only one breeding pair of animals?

Have you noticed the way the animals are described? Cattle after their kind; and so on. Some things translate well and others do not. Have you ever investigated the phrase "after their kind" to see if it might not have some significance in relation to the offspring? There is a theory that all relatives of cattle came from this one pair of cattle, for example. If one can swallow the ark story in the first place, this might explain not only the DNA but also the means by which that many animals could be fitted into the ark. There would have been buffalo "kind" after the cattle but they would not have been on the ark. They descended miraculously from the cattle after the flood for they are after the cattle kind. I have not investigated the language aspect as yet. I am in desperate need of a round tuit. Personally, I am an atheist and don't believe any of it but I do enjoy looking into it.

Interesting. I didn't know that about the DNa.

However, I do know this - archeologists have determined that any flooding that happened was regional and in the area called the Fertile Cresent, where they speculate most of humanity came from and spread out into the rest of the world from.

But look at it fromthis persepctie. If your personal "world" only extends from this valley to the top of the mountains, the obstensibly is is quite possible for your entire world to have flooded, from your perspective - the perspective of the author who wrote that section of the bible.

So, while Noah collected two of each animal, they weren't the last of their kind in the world outside of Noah's "world".

your right, there is absolutely no valid scientific proof of a flood that covered the entire earth; or carried a boat with two of every animal.

the gesture of this biblical passage, like many others, is not to inform but rather to be a metaphor.

of course, this is only my opinion.
ask a scientist, historian, or a priest for that matter, I'm sure they can offer their own explanation.

You know, really, I'm sick of Noah's Ark question. I mean, the story is, out of all the stories in the Bible the one that I think we can all agree is a bunch of ****. There is no way it could happen. The problem is, no matter how redicouls the story is, you are't going to get the Chrisitans to change their minds. They will try to answer your question and even give you links to "scientific" proff that it can happen. Don't waste your energy on it.
