You have to look at the overall picture as well as the history of war.
Americans had won the major battles. We had gone in there and destroyed the Sadaam regime, setting up a new "democratic" pro-West government, and trying to stabilize the country.
The problem is that there are so many fractions in Iraq. There are the sunnis and shiites, Iraqis and Kurds, Al-quidas and Insurgence and Counter-insurgence. There are too many insighting among all of them. Each wants the full power, so they are fighting against one another. They have one thing in common, though - Americans are the enemy. As a result, we are losing men there on daily basis, and it is hard to tell which of those groups is killing our soldiers.
In the short run, we are losing. Guirrera warfare is one of the most effective type of fighting. With a few men and a few weapons, guirrera warfare can disrupt the morale of the troop and reduce their abilities to fight. It is a stall tactic which had work very well over the centuries. I hate to say it, but the American won the independence partly due to Guirrera warfare as our forefathers would shoot at the red jackets and disappear into the forest during the Revolutionary war.
The long picture is that you will need to stabilize the country in the long run. We did that in Japan and Germany after WWII, when US troops stationed in the countries help take over the law enforcement and government. It take years to stabilize the country enough for the troop to be withdrawn. If we want to succeed in Iraq, we would have to do the same - to be there for at least 5-10 years until the new Iraqi government would gain the confidence of the people and for it to have a troop and police force strong enough to fight the insurgence and the counter-insurgence.
Or else, Iraq would turn into another Afghenistan. Remember Afghenistan in the 1980's after Russians were defeated by the same guirrera tactic (with American weapons) and that US did not provide much support - militarily and financially? Afghenistan quickly turned into an ultra-religious nation ruled by the Talibans.
Let not Iraq become a ground of ugly civil war or foreign takeover. Or else we will have to send our boys there for more bloodsheds.

The Iraqis are correct. We are not fighting this war to win. We should send in thousands upon thousands of troops and wipe out the insurgents. We must prevent arms getting into Iraq from Iran. What they need is a dictatorship not a democracy. Iraq does not know what to do with a democracy.
They will eventually be run by their Mullahs (or whatever they are called). Religion over government. We should get out now and let the Iraqis fight it out just like the Arabs in Gaza.
I am just worried about our ally Israel. What will eventually happen to them? If they are attacked from all sides they will not last for more than a year at most. The USA will have to go in and help them. Americans do not realize how serious the situation is in the middle east and how serious our situation is with the Muslims.

Remember Baghdad Bob, Iraq's Minister of Information?
Attempting to Acknowledge What Was Happening Militarily Beyond Baghdad:
March 22, 2003
"Maybe they will enter Umm Qasr and Basra, but how will they enter Baghdad? It will be a big oven for them. They can penetrate our borders but they cannot reach Baghdad. They will try to pull our army and troops out but we are well aware of their plans and they will fail."
March 23, 2003
"In Umm Qasr, the fighting is fierce and we have inflicted many damages. The stupid enemy, the Americans and British, failed completely. They're not making any penetration."
As Televised Reports of U.S. Forces Approaching the Outskirts of Western Baghdad Are Shown:
"They are not any place. They are on the move everywhere. They are a snake moving in the desert. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion."
After U.S. Forces Seized Baghdad's Airport:
"We butchered the force present at the airport. We have retaken the airport! There are no Americans there!"

If they live in Michigan, how would they know? I would say their opinion is no more or less valid than anyone here in the states. The only people who truly know are the people there.
And, by the way, we can easily win the war. We're just not willing to do what that takes (for better or worse).

The atrocities being committed by utilizing the U. S. government decrease than the guise of "protection" is going too far. regrettably the human beings, of this as quickly as super united states, are too scared by utilizing each and each of the "terrorist" propaganda being thrown out by utilizing the government to care approximately their liberties and rights being infringed upon. they could fairly supply up their rights to experience extra guard. So tell me this.. Will you experience extra guard while the government takes away the invoice of rights and tells you what you could/won't be able to do, and that in case you criticize the government you would be imprisoned? This united states is massive because of the fact the invoice of rights protects our freedom to protest, our freedom of speech. human beings might desire to undergo in techniques that those issues are properly worth battling for, and not purely battling distant places entities, a number of those fights might desire to be on homestead soil, against our "representatives" interior the government who pick to shrink our freedoms.

83% of Iraqi's in Iraq want us out. Why are we there? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy oil than to steal it?
