Adam and Eve were not the first people.
Rather than make this a really long answer, I'd rather invite you to read an article I published a couple years ago. It explains the misconceptions about the first humans and offers an answer to your question.

There is no question that a lot of incest went on. It is reported in the bible. Certainly Adam and Eve were the first to be created in God's image in the garden of Eden. It doesn't explicitly say they were the first two people. They might have been, they might have been the first Hebrew ancestors.
We only know of one law they had back then, and they managed to break it.

They weren't the first 2 people. The bible contains another story about Cain and Able and how Adam and Eve's sons went to some other land or town or something and found wives. I doubt they were referring to rounding up some monkeys.

Hmmm.. how about after the flood?.. not many people on that Ark...
Why do you think incest is considered bad? Because it causes birth defects.. don't you think that God could prevent them in times such as Adam and Eve or after the flood?

If you accept the Bible as literal truth..yes. But, I do not. In fact, I believe that it is entirely possible that Adam and eve were simply the first homosapiens that God chose to have a relationship with...i.e. they were perhaps the first to be intelligent enough to understand a little.

ah, Ya! Until later when they went outside the Garden and visited other tribes who were living at the same time. And they were not the first two people. Read Genesis 1 says God replenished the earth.

In that creation, uh-huh, but did you learn any Native-American
lore on same subject? Personally liked the Navaho version.

They wer NOT the first people. They are just the two characters from a book of fantasies - the Bible.

It says they were the first two, but we could assume that he created more after that. It doesn't say he didn't. But after the flood, it seems pretty resonable, that yes, they screwed each other. At any rate, both stories are probably to be taken as metaphors not as reality.
