If mormons claim to be christian therefore monodiest(ONE GOD) how can you believe that if you lead a good mormon life and follow all the laws and strictures and rules when you die you then become gods of your own planets with all of your spirit family with you?? You can't believe you'll become a god if you are mono-diest. I just don't understand this.

Those in the celestial kingdom will be allowed to continue to progress and become joint heirs with Jesus Christ; such individuals will eventually be enabled in eternity to become gods and goddesses and participate in the eternal creative process of having spirit children

Yes--this is one tenet of the LDS that is directly in conflict with Christs teachings---When asked which husband a widow--who had in turn married 7 brothers--would be in heaven with--Christ answered that those in heaven neither marry or are given in marriage--there ain't no "mine or yours" in heaven--so the Mormons are just pandering to their followers egos--with an obvious lie.

Then perhaps the real question is Christianity really monothiest? Because the Bible is pretty clear that those who receive the word are gods. Paul was pretty clear when he told the Corinthians that there are lords many and gods many both in heaven and on earth.
But there is only one God the Father. And One Lord Jesus Christ who is a mediator between us and Him. Why should anyone marvel that the Lord who created the universe and made man after His own image and in His own likeness could, through His infinite grace, make even the lowliest man like Him?
The scriptures are clear. Accepting the Gospel we become Joint Heirs with Christ. We inherit all that the Father has. His character, power, authority, respect, title. etc. We are given dominions and made perfect through Jesus Christ who saved us. This is the reward spelled out in the Bible. Available to all Christians. Therefore, how can you be Christian and deny this?

They will probably get you deleted or me for what I'm about to say. I was born and raised in SLC, Utah around the Mormon Cult my whole life, only recently have they taken to calling themselves Christians. They are taught not to question their teaching just accept what they are told, questioning is bad (I know I was always in trouble for this). They do believe they are embryonic Gods and will achieve Godhood and have their own planets with their many Goddess wives just like their God Elohim that lives on a far far away planet called Kolob. Mormons come across as very nice people but will stab you in the back as quick as lightening. Try reading The Kingdom of the Cults by Dr. Walter Martin or search on-line Dr. Walter Martin and listen to his tapes, converting Mormons to Christianity was his most favorite thing to do. This cult is Satanic but most of the member do not know that, they actually do use brain-washing techniques and that is why if they are not approached just right they get upset and flip out. I could tell you many things but there's not enough space here for that and they are just going to report me and get me deleted anyways, I've stopped answering most questions about the Mormons because they can't deal with the truth and here I sit with another violation notice, I get more violation notices for telling the truth about Mormonism than for anything else.

Most mormons will tell you this isn't really part of their religion. An immature mormon (a newbie) doesn't get to know about these secret privliges until they have been brought to the next level of mormonism. Up front they are told they are "Christians" like anyone else - until they are brought higher up into the religion. One of Joseph Smith's first revelations was that people of *all other faiths* were devil worshippers... including mainstream Christians. How does a mormon justify this? They are coached to justify everything...they are deceived beyond what anyone can ever comprehend!

Monotheiism is the belief and worship of only one God. Polytheism is the belief and worship of many gods.
I think that the term is henotheism, which is, I think, the belief that there are or may be many gods, but there is only ONE God that is actually worshipped.
Even Paul said that, in talking about eating food that had been sacrificed to other gods, that there ARE gods many and lords many both on earth AND in heaven. But, FOR US, there is ONE God, our Heavenly Father, and ONE Lord, Jesus Christ. So, even tho there ARE or MAY BE other gods, we don't know abou them, and we don't worship them or otherwise have anythign to do with them.
Even if we do become as God is, that does not mean He stops being our God. He will ALWAYS be our God and we will ALWAYS worship Him as our God. Would your parens say "We are the ONLY parents, and there will be NO other parents before us!" and deny you the priviledge and happiness of being a parent. That would mean that they are no longer your parents, right?
No, just as your parents are ALWAYS your parents, even if you become parents, God will always be God to us. And just as your children add to your parents' family, then if we were to become gods and do what we beleive God did for us, then that only ADDS to His glory!

I don't understand why you have to be insulting? I am not a Mormon, and even I can see the meanness in your question. Perhaps next time you can ask a question without being rude.

Hmmm... I don't remember Jesus saying there was only one God... in fact.. read Psalms 82:6.. and don't tell me that Jesus is talking figuratively because He always talks plainly to His Disciples when they were not in public crowds.
