Yes thats what the roof racks are for. Just make sure it's secure, a cop could be a jerk and cite you a ticket if it was a hazard, so make sure it's strapped down nice and tight. Plus if it did fall off you could really hurt someone.

i f you are moving and only method it has to be okay.
Why not ask a cop on Sunday. They are usually helpful on things like this
