Today my car broke down, with my son(17), and my daughter and her best friend. We were about 5 miles from home, and my car overheated. The temp. guage doesn't work, and the radiator fan doesn't either, I found out. Luckily, my car shut down in front of a gas station at an intersection. We pushed it in,sat there for a while in the 90 degree heat, trying to call my husband, who didn't answer the phone. A couple of times, people came up to me and offered us a ride home. I declined. Then, a man came up and offered us help, and when he came out of the store, he said that he was a reverend, incase we felt funny or anything. I asked him if he'd give my son a ride home, so he could get his truck, and pull my car back. So he did. My son is responsible for his own truck payments, and has been out of work for two weeks, and we've been stressing from giving him $ for gas, and impending truck note. We got home OK, after my son came. Then he told me that the reverend had offered him a job landscaping.

Yes I see.
By random chance.
What would any of those other people have done if you had not been so selective in the people that you will let help you?
How long did you wait in that car? Because your son should have been able to walk home in under 90 minutes.
How come God could not have had your son bump into this guy some other way? Why did he make all of you suffer 90 degree heat for all that time, plus the cost of repairs to your car? After all he can, allegedly, do anything.
Or it could just be one of those random events of life that you insist into reading more into than is really there.

Oh God! What a great story.
So you trusted this guy who SAID he was a reverend. Did you ask for photo ID or did you just believe him WITHOUT any evidence as fundies are wont to do like when you ... oh I don't know ... like when you believe in the Invisible Sky Critter without evidence.
I mean, I mean, WTF’s wrong with you people?
This proves there’s an Invisible Sky Critter? *gulp*
You’re pretty easy to convince don’t you think?
Good Sh*t happens to ‘bad’ people and Bad Sh*t happens to ‘good’ people.
There’s no rhyme or reason no matter how much you wish there was.
It’s like 9/11.
According to your theory all the people who missed the planes were good, deserving, righteous people and all the people who didn’t miss the planes, weren’t.
It’s a sick theory when you extrapolate your little story, isn’t it?

A man was in danger of drowning and clinging to a tree for safety. A boat came by with rescuers and the man decilined, next a helicopter was sent to pluck him to safety and he declined, next a log floated by and he pushed it away. The man drowned and as he was standing before God he asked "God, why didn't you rescue me?" God replied "I sent you a boat, a helicopter, and a log what more did you want?"
Apparantly, you got the moral of the story. Don't pass up the blessings that God sends your way.

Yes, that is exactly one of the ways that God works, and there are many. We too have experienced many things of God. Some ppl say COINCIDENCE. NO, there is no such thing. Things happen becasue of God or the devil, no other sources, even the things we do bad to ourself and others, still all the leadings of the devil. We must learn how to say No to the devil and Yes to Jesus.
We have seen many miracles take place and yes they are very real. Keep on speaking the truth, and God will bless you to overflow. God bless you.

God bless , i read a book which said that if u return the good things that happen to us to God's will , ur faith will increase and u will love God more and more and be thankful to him, so whenever any one tells u that this could have haoppined tp any one ,dont care about them because they return those things to themselves so their faith isnt affected and so they lose a chance to increase their faith , i am telling u so because a dude said in an answer that this is a normal thing to happen and can happen to any one
have a nice day

Why did you put your children (and everyone driving on the road with you) in danger by driving a car that was not working properly? Shame on you for sending your son off with a stranger. Good thing he wasn't a pedophile priest - apparently, God thinks it's fine to supply them with victims.
My car doesn't break down. That's proof that I take care of things myself since there is no God.

So you let your son get into a car with a stranger who claimed to be a reverend. You probably just took his word for it. You put your son in unnecessary danger.
And you think god was somehow looking out for you? Explain how your god can get your son a job, but can't save thousands of children from dying in Africa. Your god is a ridiculous god, that caters to your every need but somehow neglects the really important things. Your arrogance is abhorrent.

Yes. God work in ways that we sometimes don't understand. If we just trust in Him with our whole we then begin to see how God operates in our life. The word of God says in Isaiah 55:8 that,"My thoughts are not your thoughts, nethier are your ways my ways, said Jehovah." God knows that we are not in agreement with Him at all times. So what He does is allow us to go thought a sisuation that seems to be too difficult us to handle. Once He shows us that He is in control at all times, our faith begins to increase. We begin to lean on Him for direction. As said in Isaiah 2:3,"And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths." I have seen God do many great things in my life and I have only just begun.

What about the people who perished the train wreck in Georgia at three in the morning, after a barge had hit a railroad bridge?
God saw it happening and did nothing. You see how God works? And think of all who lost loved ones that night.
The God you speak of does not exist.
Try to live your life responsibly and honestly, and you needn't rely on an imaginary god.

What about the other people god sent you first? They don't count? Oh, and what about all the poor people in Africa who starved to death and the girls in Islamic countries who were murdered because they were raped while god was busy arranging for your son to get a part-time job? Glad to hear god's got his priorities in order.
Really, you think some people would THINK before opening their mouths.
