That's...a wee bit mean. Are we a race? It felt racist.
At any rate, it's an online site. Atheists like to do stuff with technology, I guess. Our population is growing-2000 year old books make less and less sense.
"God gifted us with 10 commandments, 4 of which talk about worshiping the wrong God, using his name in vain, etc."
"We can now live for up to 100 years."
"..."
There's just too many advancements, I suppose. Then again, America has a ton of Christians...but most of them are rednecks, and we know they can't read too well (I kid, I kid...)
Still, it's not like it matters if more atheists are here. So what? Did you need to hear your same opinion from different people? You came here for honest answers, right? So...differing views is good.

Oh yes, you can tell the atheists: we're the ones who can write. Perhaps I should post a question, "Why do Christians write so poorly?" You, for example seem to have a problem matching subjects and objects and with the appropriate use of participles.
Seriously, though, when so many questions are directed specifically at atheists, why is anyone surprised when we respond to them? I rarely write in this forum except in answer to such questions.

I think that the more studying that Christians do about History, they will begin to doubt Christianity. I've been a Christian my whole life (my dad's a pastor!) and since I've been studying the whole creation story(ies), I'm slowly becoming an agnostic.
Try looking up Gilgamesh...that'll put a seed of doubt in your mind. Actually read what non-believers write. Most of them are not ignorant and actually have very good points about things.
Perhaps non-believers are actually smarter than believers. At least most of them have studied up on things and know their facts. Most believers only believe what they have been taught their whole lives...that was me until I pulled my head out of my *** LOL ;)

It's cool isn't it! I first started coming here probably around December last year, and there were only a few atheists. I remember the times when I could say, "There is no god," and my email would be flooded with angry responses. But today, it's as common as cane toads in Queensland.

Isn't it only reasonable? Atheists have deep convictions concerning God, but in a literally negative sense. They practice their beliefs religiously and in many cases with as much fervor as the most ignorant hillbilly evangelist.

I'd say this place is overrun by atheists, and I'm one of them. Sorry! I don't mean to screw everything up. I think that most of the atheists here just want an outlet where they can talk about their beliefs. Sometimes people ask questions directed at atheists, and they are interesting to answer and require me to think about what it is that I do and don't believe.

Why the us and them mentality? I'm actually neither so where do I fit in this small universe. Are there any other free thinkers out there?

Us Christians are supposed to pray for your enemy and love thy neighbor.
You might reach out to athiests if they read your questions and answers....might get them curious....you might be single-handedly responsible for converting some!
Jesus wanted to hang with the tax collector...he knew he could do most good hanging with sinners...how else could he convert them?

Yay. I 'll drink to that.
May be this is what they meant by rapture. All those who are 'saved' are not on this planet. Just atheists with logic.
