I only know for Florida. You do a search for FDLE (Fl. dept. of law enforcement). You could do a similar search in your home state.

This all depends on several things. First and not the least is the motivation of such a search.

The various methods are.

1. You can contact him/or her through his/ or her lawyer.

2. You can ask the police or sheriff's department.

3. You can ask the court officers such as the bailiffs office.

4. You can ask the John Howard Society.

5. You can ask the Salvation Army. Finding people in prisons is a specialty of theirs. They are very good people.

6. There are prisoners groups on the web. But in the US there are so many people, in so many prisons.

7. Or you can pull of the same crime, in the same jurisdiction, I am quite sure you'll find that person soon enough. Lightening does strike twice. :)

Is it a state prison you believe this person is in or a federal one?

And do you have an idea which state the person is incarcerated in?

Email me and perhaps I can help you.

there isn't one

only those family members whom the prisoner lists, giving them permission, plus his attorney and religious counselor have access to that information.

the obvious purpose for this is to impede mob bosses who might want a convict killed while he is in prison -- easy for them since they likely already have mob members in the same prison.

oh.
