Some Solara's are equipped with a factory amplifier. It should be located behind or to the right of the glove box.

Note that if the factory radio plug is a single plug, it usually means a factory amplifier in a Toyota. If you have two plugs then there's no factory amp.

Often Toyotas with amplified systems will have the dual plugs in the radio cavity or at the amplifier output. Using these for your after-market deck will allow you to easily bypass the amp.

The amplifier is intergrated into your headunit (radio).
