If it existed, the most important verse would be: THE END.

The answer for the touchy-feelgood style of christianity starts and ends with John 3:16. But John 3:16 happened as a result of something called sin,

The real most important verses are the one which identify the end time Chruch, or those who will recieve salvation. Once you learn that identity, then one would thing you would be moved to learn why John 3:16 was necessary, and repent of those things.

Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Since almost all professing christian churches seem to accept that this means the 10 Commandments (it means more than that), and they all accept that only 9 of those Commandments are binding on Christians, that makes the 4th Commandment an identifying sign of the Chruch (It is not the only sign).

To deem one passage as the most important would be to take everything out of context.

It can all be condensed in John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everylasting life.

Matthew 5 : 43 - 46

"You have heard the law that says, 'Love your neighbor' and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much."

I realize how outdated this may sound, with tax collectors and that. But, It is important to me because this shows how we need to really work to respect our enemies. That's something I struggle with. I want to be bitter sometimes. I want to carry a grudge. But I try to remember this verse, and I react differently.

The part where Jesus explains that if you love God and love each other, you obey all the laws and the prophets-a new commandment.
