Absolutely not. My health and happiness come first, then my family and friends. Although a job is important and everyone needs money to survive, no one should place their job above all else in their life. No one's job is that important.

I retired from a place I started work at age 17. I worked hard and long hours and learned most of the jobs there. It is NEVER worth putting your career first because companies don't appreciate loyalty anymore. You could still be the first to go should they downsize and they don't bat an eye!! Do a good job but put yourself and your family first. Take that day off and go on that vacation and never think that you have too much work to do! It will be there when you get back!
