i bought a pioneer cd deck that is 50x4 so like 22 watts a channel, my mom has a 2001 buick lesabre and her stock player gets louder and more bass then mine, i have a 91 taurus and i even put some 50 rms speakers in mine, why is it like this, and how can i make mine louder?

A lot of people still think after-market decks automatically have more power than stock radios. That's might have been true a decade ago, but it's definitely not any more. The factory radio in an 01 LeSabre is pretty high-end, as stock radios go; even if it's not equipped with a Bose system. Also, GM's 6x9" speakers are very effective at providing lots of bass without lots of power.
After-market speakers usually are a lot clearer and brighter sounding than stock, but they're not necessarily louder.
You can add an amplifier and subwoofer to your system to provide a solid low end. Once you do that, you can cut down on the bass sent to your front and rear speakers, which will let you play them louder before they start to get distorted.

Def get better speakers, ebay has cheap ones. Also on most aftermarket stereos there is a setting where you can manually controll the treble mids bass fader and balance. Turn the bass up and the treble slightly down. Also if you have 6x9s on your deck in the back, turn the fader back a few notches, it will kick a bit harder. But seriously, get better speakers. Those ones are probably dry rotted paper by now.

Could be because her head unit puts out more watts per channel. It could be the enclosuer/ where the speakers are placed in your taurus. Are you sure its putting out more bass than yours, if you turn down the base you can turn your speakers up more.you can always add a amp.

its 50 watts per channem if its 50x4 cuz theres 4 channels and hers sounds better cuz in 91 they didnt make good stock speakers, if u like i can sell u sum speakers jus tell me wut kind u want
