it won't work. there are special callous removers. you can by then in the nail care area of most any store. there are pumice stones, rough files and for the brave, callous scrapers.

DON'T CUT IT OFF or use a scraper!
1] use an emery board, right after bathing/showering
2] you can reduce it, but not remove it completely
3] put a concentrated moisturizer on after your 'sanding', to continue to soften the area
A callous will return unless you get rid of the problem shoes, so plan on 'sanding' once a week or so; or buy cushions for the area in the foot care aisle.

Depends how thick the callus is.

I generally cut mine off with razor blades (very carefully)

i use a chain saw
but i have big smelly feet
also i wash them 3 times a year
helps with all that slime
