Greetings Friend,

Your question is very interesting. The way I see it the Biblical writers were very wise in "end time" regards. If we were to think about it logically, we would have to admit that the world cannot continue on the same path it is on and survive. Or can it? We now have 6 Billion people on the planet. The birth rate is greater than the death rate, which means the earth will become over populated.

We are destroying ourselves and while it may seem we are not, we are ever so slowly. However, at the same time, we are awakening. We are awakening to the truth about who we are. So, in my own opinion, we will see more and more of a dividing line. I believe, in a way, the earth will be destroyed by fire, but it will be the way the earth will use to protect itself. I guess what I am saying is that most of mankind will be destroyed, that seems inevitable, but the earth will become like new again - sort of a new earth. Out of the ashes of the old, the new will be born. So, in this sense, I think the Biblical writers were very wise. They could imagine into the future and think of how it may happen, or one possible aspect.

However, I do not believe there is a rapture, but if I were to believe that the Bible was infallible, I would believe according to the interpretation of Mavin Rosenthal's "Pre-wrath Rapture."

However, on another note, I think that it is interesting how we are so concerned with the future. All we have is this moment. Nothing more. However, because we are afraid, we come up with stories about the past and about the future. Because we are afraid of the Unknown and beyond this moment is always unknown, we come up with stories of how we think things will turn out. This makes us feel more secure. The reason we come up with rapture stories is because we are afraid that maybe this life is all there is. What else is there? See we don't really know, so we devise stories that will make us feel better, so that we are not so afraid.

I believe that we are all on a path to enlightenment, which is heaven. Like the Course in Miracles says, "This is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary." We will all reach heaven, enlightenment, etc., it just may take some longer than others. However, we will all make it. We need only to awaken.

sending love,

Biblical End Times: Fact. There are seven clear dispensations (ages) in the Bible. In each dispensation there is a clear test that has been set for man and in each we have failed. We are currently in dispensation 6 (the age of Grace) but at the end of this age the end times will begin.
Revelation Vs Daniel reflects each other and show this quite easily.
Revelation 2 + 3 show the seven churches that exist through time (these are not 7 denominations but clear changes in the direction of the Church) the 7th Church (The Church of Laodicea) is the end times Church that is neither hot nor cold and will spat out of Gods mouth) This Church looks as if it begun early last century so the end times must be close.

Rapture: Pre-tribulation. Why? People quote scriptures for pre, mid and post tribulation rapture. (The Church of Philadelphia) will be ruptured before the tribulation because Revelation 3:10 tells us that the Church of Philadelphia will be kept from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world (the tribulation). Besides there is no point having a post tribulation rapture since Jesus is descending onto Jerusalem at the end of the Tribulation to save the Jews and set up the new Heaven and new Earth, so why would we be ruptured to Heaven if God is no longer there? That only leaves pre-tribulation and mid-tribulation raptures available and the church isn't mentioned in the scriptures referring to the tribulation but the Jews and Gentiles are. This leaves pre-tribulation rapture as the answer.
Additionally the only way you can avoid the tribulation and rapture from a biblical belief is by spiritualising revelation. You can only spiritualise Revelation if you spiritualise Genesis and if you spiritualise both ends of the bible how can you not spiritualise Jesus at the same time? I mean if you want to spiritualise some of the Bible why not spiritualise the whole thing?

Thank You for asking 'This' question - Now to my answer! First I believe ALL of what I am about to write here as 'FACT' that will happen in the EXTREEM 'PHYSICAL'!

Yes, I DO BELIEVE THAT WE ARE IN THE BIBLICAL 'END TIMES'

My reasons:

1. Israel became a Nation Again for the first time in 2500 years in 1948! "THAT" IS THE REASON - WHY EVERYTHING COUNTS NOW!

2. The president of Iran Screems out in a speach shown Internationally for Israel to be wiped off the map of the World! Russia, China, Japan, Turkey, and All of the Aarab Nations alinging themselves with the president of Iran!

3. You can read your local papers in one hand, and the other hand have your Bible, and have your television or radio to local, national and international news and see Prophecy comming TRUE! This can be scary or A TREMDOUS BLESSING!

4. The murder of the 600,000 Jews in Europe in WWII!

5. The Birth of the European Union with the Nations involved!

6. The first Gulf War! The Current Gulf War - at the River Eufrates!

7. The War against Drugs.

8. All the 'Rumors' of other Wars - The Famines!

9. The EXTREME Division in Our Country - America!

10. The Fact that Prayer was taking out of Schools! I was in school 'THAT' very day when Prayer was taken OUT! Look at what is happening NOW in our childrens SCHOOLS - I Promise - this - Prayer being taken out - Is the EXACT Reason - why we see ALL the Tremendous Horrors in our Schools Today!

11. The ACLU and the fight they have put against ANYTHING INVOLVING THE GOD OR THE BIBLE (We - My husband and I use the KJV of the BIBLE) - Even Christian Celebrations ie; Christmas, Easter!

12. The Accepance of something other than a Bible being allowed in our Courts and our Government for Oaths!

13. The Divisions that I see in SO MANY Churches regarding the Word of God - All the Different Versions of the Holy Bible - When the 22 Chapter of Revolation Not Only Prophecies this Exact Fact - but gives the SEVERE WARNINGS on 'Taking Away from the Word of God or Adding To the word of God" This is NOT somewhere I would want to tread!!!!!!

These things are ALL prophecied in the Bible for the Later Days - Very Planly and Simply - Much of this is in the Books of Daniel, Matthew and Revelation as well - as other Books in the Bible!

I've been to the Holy Land of Israel - I've studdied - Personally many of the original writings - Studied the Dead Sea Scrolls and - WOW - That one even speaks directly on the Rapture! I learned the oringinal languages as a Child in Israel as a little Jewish Girl! I am NOW and FOREVER - A Christian - With NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER! I'm SO HAPPY that Jesus came into My Heart! Praise the Name of the Lord!!!!!

The Rapture IS in the Bible - NOT using 'That' exact Word - "One shall remain and the other one taken - Come up Hither - Twinkling of an eye!" It is spoken of in Several Books of the Bible!

I DID NOT have the understanding of the Rapture - untill I recieved the Holy Spirit from God! WOW!

Please be at Peace - Glorify God in His Grace!

Take Care and God Bless!

the way i believe, one day just outa the blue people will start disappearin. this will be the start of the rapture takin place. its almost like the final call for christians. and if youre not saved, then youre left here on earth. there will then be 3 1/2 years of hell [in which the antichrist takes over, and everyone has to take the mark of the beast or suffer] and then there will be 3 1/2 years of peace.

In the gospel of Mathew, chapter 24, Jesus talks about the "end times." Many talk as though he was talking about the end of the world. But is this really to what the gospel is referring? One of the things predicted in the chapter is the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. That happened in 70 AD. Roman legends ransacked Jerusalem. This must be what is meant by, "end times."

No rapture. It is the concoction of a 19th century preacher.

All we Christians are waiting on is the trumpet of the Lord to sound and time, as we know it, shall be no more. The last days, we are living in now. But we are to continue shining His light to others as if it'll be 100 more years before Jesus comes. Don't worry about when it is going to happen. I just live my life following His Word so that I'll be found faithful when it does happen. Christians will definitely be raptured before God's holy wrath consumes this world. Just as God provided Noah with the ark as their safe haven against the flood, God has provided all born again Christians Jesus Christ as our Ark to escape the coming judgements. Never let go of God's Word and hide it in your heart.
