Well I've said it before but most of the time it has to do with pride. Lol waiting for thumbs down...I get at least 2 no matter what I say.

It means that you would have to humble yourself and admit the very nature of your wrongs and sad to say many christians dont apologize when they are wrong some people think they are the boss when God is the one in charge. Adversity has a way of cutting you down to size and makes one realize that they are not so high and mighty afterall.
The thing that makes your question difficult for some people is pride and arrogance thank you for posting.

It's not hard for me to say I'm sorry. My brother told me that I have a problem because I'm always apologetic. But I never want to hurt any-ones feelings.
By the way if there is anyone on here whose feelings I have inadvertently hurt, I'm sorry!â«

Pride!
Yes one of those seven deadly sins raises it's ugly head again to entangle itself and prevent some or most? from saying "If I have hurt you, I am sorry. How can I make amends?'.
And hence, many lives remain wounded, or at best - at a Stalemate.

I did it last week. It's not always easy, because of the fear of losing face, or looking foolish. There is also a fear of the apology not being accepted, which would make me feel even worse. But it's very important to put all that aside, and be able to apologize anyhow.

Because it takes putting aside pride and ego, and those two things are very strong in most people.
For some people, admitting that they made a mistake is beyond them. They think that making a mistake will shatter their persona or illusion of strength. Same thing with confronting those kind of people. They don't take well to being confronted of a wrong doing and become highly defensive and unreasonable.

You just value the person you have hurt and their continued relationship more than your own ego or need to appear "right" and IF you are truly regretting it, you SAY SO!!
It can be your own words, but always let it be genuine and sincere and it will make you the better person.

Really, I don't mind saying I'm sorry, even if I was not at fault.
I think some people think that they would seem weak if they apologized. And then some people think they are never wrong.
God Bless

Satan is the author of confusion and lies, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and that liar can't stand that. How often do we neglect to apologize, only to find out that it brought us more peace than the one that we apologized to. Unforgiveness is a sin and a heavy burden that isn't worth carrying around.

Wayne here are a few "Red Letters that you are no doubt familiar with,to lend support to your question.
MAT 5:23-24 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
