I'm not trying to be disrespectful, please answer yes or no

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
I was probably busy helping one of the other 16 billion people on the planet you selfish prick

I didn't say I wrote it. I just asked if it was sacrilegious

Yeah somebody copied that poem and tried to be funny which isn't. I got that poem on my bathroom wall. The ending is different. The Lord replied "The times when you see only one set of footprints, I was carrying you."

LOL the matter of fact is that he is omnipotent and always with everyone..That's part of the beauty in believing and relationship with him..... what if there was more than 2 sets of footprints?

If we don't know that he is there then that's because we are distant and too engrossed in out trials and tribulations to know!

*Chuckle* Good one. A nice twist on an old poem. I'm a Christian and I still find this funny. Go figure. (Uhm, there are roughly 6 billion people on the planet, not 16. Just thought you might like to know.)

Yes, it is. But, the truly spiritual man must be able to blaspheme with the best of them. A celibate, proper priest can no more advise the public than a cripple can advertise running shoes.

those who do not believe that God is the one who carries us, I have to say, I am sorry that you have not experienced that- however I must say- God would never say the ending of your poem= He can be with those other 16 billion people carrying them at the same time. It never ceases to amaze me that if a Christian shares what they believe, we are being disrespectful to you, but when you share something like this, you expect us to just say nothing.

God is never busy, he loves you but because you willfully reject Him, you end up missing the real peace and happiness of Jesus. One day, whether you like it or not, you will seat in judgment and God will go over each joke when you blaspheme against Him.

God Bless you!

LOL. You must have been reading some Hallmark cards again!

And, btw, we're still 6.2 billion people today... not 16. And, no, it's not sacrilegious.

Peace be with you!

Yes, I believe God is everywhere. He's not just here for one person at a time. That's not the original version of that either; the original says that God was carrying you. Then again, you probably knew that.
