Maybe you have been following the wrong god.
20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street,
she raises her voice in the public squares;
21 at the head of the noisy streets [a] she cries out,
in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:
22 "How long will you simple ones [b] love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23 If you had responded to my rebuke,
I would have poured out my heart to you
and made my thoughts known to you.
24 But since you rejected me when I called
and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,
25 since you ignored all my advice
and would not accept my rebuke,
26 I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you-
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28 "Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me.
29 Since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the LORD,
30 since they would not accept my advice
and spurned my rebuke,
31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm."
Proverbs 1:20-33

Perhaps you are using God as a scapegoat. Now, before you get defensive, I ask you to simply listen. Or read. Whatever. Anyway: Everything you do has a consequence, whether good or bad. If you do something to get yourself into trouble (i.e. lie, cheat, steal, deceive, etc.), then, in accordance with justice, you will receive the consequence for that action. There is no one to blame but yourself. If I do something to get myself into trouble, then I also have no one to blame but myself. Now here's the thing about you and me: we don't like that fact. We would much rather prefer to shift the spotlight to somebody else. We would rather blame somebody other than ourselves. But we only deceive ourselves when we do that. It sure feels a lot better--to us. But in the long run, it is better to simply fess up and admit that we have messed up.
Now, let's say one is a Christian. In this case, that person has the ETERNAL consequences for all that he or she has done completely wiped away by grace in Christ Jesus. Pretty cool deal, huh? HOWEVER: Oftentimes, God will STILL LET US SUFFER THE EARTHLY CONSEQUENCES for our less-than-intelligent actions. That way, we learn. When we learn, we can pass on those lessons to listening ears. It all works out.
But I would encourage you: Don't blame God. He is not your divine puppet that gets you out of trouble whenever you want. He is God. Remember that. Instead of blaming Him for failing to obey you, look at what YOU did that got you into trouble in the first place. Keep your perspectives straight.

If you really thought so...then why do you bother saying anything? If God made things simple for you, in the end it really wouldn't help. It's the little things that help us along. Besides, God gives opportunities, it's not his fault if you screw up.

How can he scam you if he’s nonexistent?
Either
He is real, which means He is who He says He is, and He did hear you even if He didn’t respond in the way you wanted.
Or
He is not real, which means that He did nothing at all to you, so you have no reason to be angry.

It depends on what you prayed for, how you prayed it, and what you did on your own to help your own problems because you can't completely rely on God to help you with your problems. He has to see that you are willing to fix the problem, if your not, he sees that you don't care about your problem.
