I must of missed that memo.

But I can tell you im not part of any such rebellion. As a matter of fact, God has given me too much joy in my life to even think about a rebellion. I really do hope one day you can experience this love and joy. Ill pray for you. I dont expect you to understand, but maybe one day you will. He is as real to me as the grass or the sky. He is there with me through everything.

It's a true sign of weakness and pettiness to attack others regarding their religious beliefs, simply because they are not your own. You must be a frustrated person, with nothing to do on a Saturday night except to display your sullen nature to the Yahoo world. I'm working now, otherwise I would have been spared of your sourness.

If you think an atheistic worldview represents reality, then youre living in a fantasy world, not reality.

God exists. Because you havent experienced him yet doesnt mean he doesnt. We know there is a God. You think there isnt one.

Deep down yes!

There is something feeble and a little contemptible about a man who cannot face the perils of life without the help of comfortable myths. Almost inevitably some part of him is aware that they are myths and that he believes them only because they are comforting. But he dares not face this thought! Moreover, since he is aware, however dimly, that his opinions are not rational, he becomes furious when they are disputed.
— Bertrand Russell

You are never dedicated to something you have complete confidence in. When people are fanatically dedicated to political or religious faiths, or any other kind of dogmas or goals, it’s always because these dogmas or goals are in doubt. No one is fanatically shouting that the sun is going to rise tomorrow. They know it's going to rise tomorrow.
— Robert M. Pirsig

Their belief in Jesus gives them an indefatigably sympathetic confidant, assuages their fear of death and bereavement, wards off existential angst, assures cosmic purpose, and aligns them with the good guys. So handsome are the psychological pay-offs of belief that many, perhaps most, devout orthodox Christians are impervious to all countervailing logic and evidence. Their will to believe vanquishes every disquieting fact, every contrary line of reasoning, no matter how compelling to an impartial eye. Psychologists have a frightening arsenal of terms for the mental habits designed to preserve cherished beliefs: dissociation, absolutist thinking, dichotomization, object permanence, nominal realism, phenomenalistic causality and worse.
— Gary Sloan

Man is a marvelous curiosity...he thinks he is the Creator's pet...he even believes the Creator loves him; has passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks he listens. Isn't it a quaint idea.
— Mark Twain

That reminds me, did your parents plan to have such a dumb excuse for a child or does someone up there hate you?
