I'm just curious to know how it made you feel. I am having anxiety about the feeling you feel right as your being put out and wondered if the meds they give you before to calm you down would help with that. Any help?

Yes, they give you something to calm you down.

Oh and believe me, it works, haha. When I went in for a little simple procedure (just getting an abcess cut off of the inside of my cheek), I wasn't even nervous and they gave me this stuff in an IV before numbing me up, and it made me totally oblivious to everything going on. I didn't even know when they gave me the numbing shot!

So, trust me, you'll be totally at ease!

For the surgeries I've had where I was having general anethesthesia, usually they give you a shot beforehand to help you relax.
