If you don't know for sure, that should be your attitude.
If you know for sure, you should testify.
I once was blind, but now I see.
"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."
I John 5:13
If I said I didn't know, I would be a liar.

People should be cautious of saying they know anything much for sure, though we do if the evidence is strong (still not "for sure" though).
We say we "know" things if the evidence makes it highly probable or if we really trust the source. However, sources - our parents, spouses, leaders, prophets, etc - can get it wrong in all sincerity. Even great prophets and religious teachers must be open to doubt, though they may be absolutely sincere, as they teach sometimes very different things (e.g. Paul and Muhammad).
Even Jesus' claim that "by their fruits you shall know them" doesn't really help as the fruits of different prophets' and teachers' work may well be admirable, though they teach contradictory things.
You can only say you know "for sure" that "God" exists if you define God as "existence" or "that which is necessary for existence to be" or something like that - something tautological (God is existence or the essence of existence: existence exists).
Even if you have a direct experience of "God" (in a dream, trance or fully awake) which you find overwhelming, perhaps undeniable, you still can't really be sure that it was "God" you experienced or some other paranormal phenomenon, benign or otherwise.

yeah they do, i mean people are crazy enough to say that God actually speaks to them. Be real that book was written many years ago because of the human thought, we think about what is there to come after death, and the bible gives people the idea that its true, buts its nothing more then a fairy tales. Since the beginning of time people always wanted the answer to why we live and God seems like the right thing to believe in, it sickens me that people let the bible think for them and they dont let themselves think for themselves. i can go more deep into what i say but i get to tired saying the same **** over

I believe in God, but I don't have any problem saying I don't know for sure. I don't have hard evidence of His existance...its merely heartfelt. No one has proof of anything when it comes to this...so no one should feel as though they are too good to say "I don't know".

Yes I do. That is why I believe by Faith, by what I hear and what I see as spiritual truths.
