what is the deal with all these dancing shows? how long you think it will be popular?

dont get me wrong i like some shows like that but i dont think they will ever be as good as american bandstand.

which is better dancing with stars or american bandstand?

American Bandstand hands down. That's what they need to bring back. I know they have Soul Train, but it's still not like Bandstand. It's kind of easy for actors and dancers to get up there after they've rehearsed all week and are wearing gorgeous outfits to look good, but I personally dont think that show will last much longer.

I think that dancing with the stars is better. You get to see professional dancers working with people that have never had much dancing experience. You get to see how much they have improved. American Bandstand was also good for introducing new songs and music.

We had something similiar to Dancing with Stars here in the Uk a while back. It was called Dancing on Ice. It lasted a whole 6 weeks, every Saturday evening. I couldn't wait for the series to end, I absolutely hated it. Still, it kept my wife happy.

It's the trend now, 3 judges, talent, etc etc etc....survivor type competition was the old phase...just a passing phase until something else comes along, gotta love "reality" TV
