And yet the only one of the front runners that's still on his first wife is the Mormon? Now to me that's funny, and shows what a bunch of phonies the rest of them are.

madrededos, That's funny, you think I'm a lib, actually I just think that most people who talk about their religion all the time are usually the ones who follow it the least. As for me if I need to be labeled, Right of Center will do,most people on the far left and far right would serve the world best by shooting themselves into space.

They're all phonies. Religion is nothing but a prop to these guys--especially for Romney who can't stop flip flopping. What's worse is now the democrats are starting to use it. I don't care about their superstitions. I want to know specifically what they're going to do for the country.

Unfortunately, much of our ignorant nation gives support only to those who profess to have religion. They ignore the rest and don't consider the other people and perspectives in the country. Sometimes this is just out of personal beliefs, sometimes it's just out of selfishness. That is, some people choose a religious person because they believe a man of God will naturally make things better (this is still ignorant), but some people do it because they want to see gay marriage and other such issues banned. They don't care about the rights of others, only their own rights, or what they perceive to be rights...
It's really disgusting. However, there is a rise in non-Christian individuals, so perhaps we'll have a change of pace.

As salaamu 'alaikym.
many politicians speak about what they don't have, like religion, spirituality, honesty, compassion, integrity, courage, personal vision and intelligence. Remember, most of them were lawyers before they became politicians.
Insha'Allah, let's hope that they do find faith and live the principles of the same as all of the major religions of the world all teach a belief in justice, in helping one another and in serving others as well as promoting the idea that we are all one family.
Ma'a salaam.

How is that the liberal left thinks they are the ones who are "tolerant" but they are always putting down their own country and all Republicans?
George Bush is on his first wife, if that is how you judge being a Christian. I don't believe that should be your only criterion.
As for Newt Gingrich being a worse adulterer than Clinton, that's ridiculous. They each cheated on their wives, and they both were wrong in doing so. Cheating on your wife is wrong, no matter whether you are a Republican or a Democrat.

You must not listen to the Democrat candidates when they talk about their faith......but the wife thing is funny. They could put ALL the candidates, Dem and Rep, on a plane and send them far away and this country would not miss them.

It's typical hypocricy. They are all just pandering to try and get the religious vote. Look at Newt Gingrich, slammed the left for lack of morals but he was more of an adulterer than Clinton.

What's even funnier are the few Democrats who express a faith, demonstrating their hypocrisy in the process.
And the rest of the Democrats? No faith at all?

Most of the time, divorse is considered an abomination, so I am not surprised that Mitt Romney is on his first wife.

The only reason they talk about faith is to get votes from people who want to impose their beliefs on to everyone else.
