What are the percentage that I request to get stationed in New Orleans or St. Louis? Or @ least how can I?

Once you sign on the dotted line. You go where they tell you to
go. The recruiting office is not the office that issues the orders
once your basic training is over. Why don't you go overseas
and relieve some of the others that bush keeps extending,
and let him come home to be stationed in his hometown. If a foreign missal lands in your backyard, would you still be able
or willing to ask that same question? :-})

My brother was in the Coast Guard about 15 years ago. In basic training he excelled and was the top of his group. He was able to request to be stationed close to home and his request was granted.
I'd say if you excel in basic training too, and "out shine" the other recruits, you may be able to request and receive your assignment.
