I really like him, I just don't know how he feels about me. When I tell him this he just says, "well, I wouldn't be around if I wasn't going to be serious with you", but then he still won't acknowledge me as his girlfriend. What should I do?

if you really like him 6 months is not very long. Wait and see what happens but dont just sit at home, go out with your friends and have a good time you can do that without being with anybody else. if when he comes back he is still avoiding the topic put him on the spot and ask why. If his answer isnt good enough let it go. If you dont like him that much then dont bother, but make clear to him that you wont wait.

I was in the Army for 6 yrs, and if he's avoiding the "couple conversation", NO, don't wait. I bet he's going out on you with a female soldier in Iraq. Sorry, but I know how men act when they are in the service and away from girlfriends. You could always just ask him if he wants you to wait on him. I bet he'd say, "I don't know how long I'm going to be over here, so you don't have to wait for me", or something like that. Also DON'T send him gifts or care packages to Iraq. He'll take them and leave you. I've been in the same situation.

Well, I know Mormons that wait two years for their lover to get back, and they're 19. It all depends on how strongly you feel about staying together with this person.

don't wait around for someone who isn't into you. if he were, he wouldn't have dodged the relationship conversation. it's summer time. get on out there and find yourself someone who appreciates you and doesn't have to be convinced that you're worth a commitment.

If he's not serious about you, no need for you to be serious about him...On the other hand, if he is worried about you getting involved with him, and him possibly not making it home from Iraq, don't hold that against him...

If someone better comes along, do what you think is right. Your friend in Iraq, may be afraid he isn't coming back, and doesn't want to commit until he does.

no. i think you should find someone else thats isnt in the army type thing. cause hes going to be away for a long time. annd if hes avoiding the couple conversation...then obviouslt he doesnt want to be with you.

I say you should wait beacause if he comes back I think he would be thrilled to see that you waited for him. If you think the connection you both had in that year was good... then I think it will be worth waiting for... Good Luck!
