I've got my prom on Wednesday and i wanted to get my nose and bellybutton pierced tomorrow. I've got my bellybutton pierced before so that's not the problem, but i wondered if it's true they get infected from fake tan? Also, I'm very worried about the fact that some people say nose piercings swell up and go red for the first few days. Is this true and if so, will it go down by my prom on wednesday? please help:( P.S im 16 and my parents have agreed

Fake tan + piercings = BAD. You don't need anything in those fresh piercings except jewelry.
Do you really want possible swelling/infections the day of prom? Why don't you wait until the day after prom? The dress is going to tug on the navel piercing (unless you're wearing one of those tacky two piece dresses that shows the belly).

well, the piercing will swell no matter where it is. you can always crush up some asprin and add water to make like a paste and apply it onto your nose. also ice it. that should decrease the swelling.

fake tan WILL NOT infect it, depending on what the tan is made from. A Mystic tan is 100% natural and they supply astringent that u can use to clean it after.

DO NOT put foreign substances in, or near any piercing including but not limited to: makeup, lotions or sunless tanners during the healing period. Clothing that clings or is fitted to the body can irratate piercings. Since you'll probably be wearing makeup and/or a clingy dress it would be best to wait until after the prom!
