I was hungry for apple crisp one night, but all I had were a few plums and some instant oatmeal. I sliced the plums, sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar, and layered them in a baking dish.

Then I topped them with the oatmeal mixed with a little butter and sugar and baked the whole thing at 350 degrees until the plums were tender. It turned out to be a lot better with the plums than the apples would have been!

I learned today, that you can make a meat loaf, with oatmeal, that will hold it together just as well as corn flakes. That's a plus besides that is it healthier. I prefer Turkey loaf, that is even better with oatmeal. Thanks, for the tip on bread mix in place of flour. Have a good day.

Yes I've ran out of flour so I used graham wafers crumbled and crumbled up corn flakes to make a pie crust. I was making pumpkin pie for Halloween! It turned out fine!
