whenever they say drink 6-8 glasses of water a day i get confused because they are not giving me the exact amount in ounces, milliliters, etc.

Basically, 1/2 Gallon of water. Or if you like Fiji water, about 4 of the 500ml bottles. 48 oz if we consider an 8 oz glass. So, 48 to 64 oz or about half a gallon.
