Not much. It takes much more then that to do any damage. If you take 9 tylenol every day for a long period of time you risk stomache and kidney problems. If you need to take that many at a time I suggest getting a persciption for a stronger pain killer. If this is a hypothetical question I suggest not taking 9 tylenol for fun.

Depending on what dosage of tylenol you took, the recommended maximum daily dosage of tylenol is 4000 mg. I would try something different like Motrin if you feel like the tylenol is ineffectie and you are nearing or going over the recommended daily dosage or better yet, make a dr's appt and get to the root of the problem.

Depends on if you're a child or an adult but the most serious adverse effect is fatal liver necrosis.

I can tell you that a tylenol/acetominophen overdose usually results in a very unpleasant experience at the hospital. We usually then empty the stomach promptly by lavage or by induction of vomiting with syrup of ipecac followed by lots of blood work to ensure that you haven't totally killed off your liver which is tylenol matabolizes in.

That would depend on how big you are. Some big people take 6-8 for a headache. Either way though, unless it's a really young kid, I don't think much will happen at all. For more info, go to

You have to be careful with tylenol. You can end up with tylenol poisoning with is deadly. I don't know how many pills you have to take, but I do know that if you take too many it will kill you; There is no cure for tylenol posiioning and it is not a plesant way to go.

Why would you want to? As a healthcare provider I can tell you tylenol overusage is a significant cause of liver failure. Particularly if combined with alcohol use. We have many other over the counter pain meds. So I repeat: Why?

Did you take 9 500 mg Tylenol at one time? the safe limit for acetominophen is only 4000 mg in 24 hours in divided doses. If you took 9 at one time, then that is WAY too much and you need to see a doctor immediately and see what he says, or call the poison control number because you can have liver damage. If you took them over time, then you are probably ok, but PLEASE PLEASE dont take too much of this stuff, and follow the package directions for your age. This is serious stuff. Please add up how much you took, and contact your doctor ASAP!

You run the risk of doing permanent damage to your liver and kidneys. That's way too many tylenol to take at one time.

That would be called an overdose. So don't take it. You might feel really drowsy and get a stomach ache.

Possibly an upset stomach or a rebound headache if that is why you took it in the first place.
