I never thought of that. Now my whole life is false. Thanks a lot!

Every point a person holds onto as "truth" has an element of faith involved in it's acceptances. Some point of our individual faith structures have evidence some do not. You have brought your skepticism to bare on the Bible.. Can it be pr oven to be true, No of course not. But there is evidence that it is what it contends to be.. In the 22 Psalm A prophecy of the crucifixion of Jesus can clearly be seen. In the 53rd Chapter of Isaiah still another look into His suffering is shown. Of course these aren't proof, as I said before, what this evidence is, is reason for faith..... Jim

Does it matter? Basic message=Live your life like there will be consequences for your actions. Why is that so bad? Even if it's not "real"? True or false, the Bible has a positive influence on most of mankind. Most federal laws are based on the ten commandments, Moses is (or at least used to be) on the Supreme Court building in Washington, and I'm glad people aren't allowed to kill me.

There is no "real" or original Bible. The Bible is a collection of writings from different authors and did not exist before the writings were collected and translated. The word "Bible" means a collection of books.

How do you know Darwin really wrote what is attributed to him? Did you see him write it with your own eyes?

With history you just have to take the best you are offered. For instance the journal of Christopher Columbus no longer exists. A copy was made, but that is also lost. There was an abstract copy of that copy that was made, and that is all we have........ a copy of the copy of his original. But because of this we do not say "There was no such person as Christopher Columbus" nor do we entirely doubt what the abstract copy says.......... We wish we had better. We wish we had a video of him on his voyage. But if history only gives us a copy of a copy of a copy we just have to accept it.

There is only one way to know with certainty that the Bible is the inspired Word of God - the Catholic Church says so! God Himself, in the Person of Jesus Christ, founded the Holy Catholic Church. He promised the Church He founded, and no other, "whatsoever you bind upon earth is bound in heaven". And that is how mankind can know that the 73 inspired books of the Holy Bible, compiled by the Catholic Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are bound in heaven, and are therefore true and genuine.

Once you have the Holy Spirit within you and your life you no longer have a worry about such a thing...for the Holy Spirit will teach and explain things beyond what the Bible has written.

Peace be with you :)

Modern biblical research into the earliest books shows that copies have been pretty reliable. Thousands have checked this out over the centuries.

How do we know that history books aren't complete fakes? Faith is the answer. I believe in the Bible as a Christian through faith.

Every sip is poisoned after the well is poisoned. Test of faith! Everything else is footnotes and Accounts Receivable. (If you are a Roman Catholic, add homosexual pedophilia.)
