it's irrelevant to God. He made each of us perfect and for a specific purpose. anyone who understands and embraces that will not be swayed by other people's opinions of them, will not work to destroy other people, and there would be so much more harmony in the world.

cuz we'd all be doing our best at the work we were created for, instead of stealing from each other, trying to outdo each other, and just generally wasting a lot of time...

No,esteem comes in seasons. Some start out heavy laden. Restless spirit. Healthy is a personal question. Jesus said a well man requires no physcian. Only the sick. The Church recieves the sick every day. The word of God is the medicine that heal the troubled heart. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Issues of life comes from the heart..guard your heart.

No. I find that the exact opposite is true: my belief in and submission to one particular higher power, is vital to the health of my self-esteem.

No. I never thought much about myself and learned I have a type of depression going back to a teenager. Having said that, I have never doubted the Creator, Jehovah or his son, Jesus. Not even angels as a higher life form.

I always thought it silly to think more of yourself than necessary.

no- not at all.
When you say "higher power" it refers to a power above yourself, or others that you know. So, (just saying) this could just as well be refering to Satan as well as God or Jesus.
Now the reason I say no is because I do believe in god, rather strongly, and i have no confidence, self-esteem, or any positive belief in myself at all. This would not be referred to as a healthy self-esteem, yet i still believe in a higher power so the answer to your question is definitively NO.

I believe healthy self esteem is vital to humanity. Period.

If I explained, it'd take me several hours, and I'm quite sleepy. Maybe later?

Yes. Because with a healthy self-esteem you can go out and preach the Bible and go and do out-reaches. But without a healthy self-esteem it is harder to go out and do those things.

This is the wrong way round. People will go to any lengths to feel good about themselves, and believing that the creator of the universe has a special personal interest in them is one way of bolstering their self-esteem. It is a child's way out, however. The best way to feel good about yourself, the grown-up way, is to accept yourself for what you really are, and to stop hiding behind delusions and fantasies.

Kinda.... i think i'm someplace in between. recently, issues have been happening that have boosted my self belief and day after in the present day something else happens that brings my self belief down :/ i'm relatively confident mentally i think of. bodily, so and so yet i do no longer care that plenty.

Yes...the Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself...that means you need to love yourself too...How can you love others without having some love for yourself....too much love for self becomes shown in such things as pride, but a healthy self esteem helps you to be able to love others as God desires us to.
