No, lust is not evil. It's completely natural. Without lust, our species (and all others in fact) would die out. Mother nature gave us these instincts to ensure the propagation and survival of our species.
It's not lust itself that is evil. It is what we do with those desires that makes it good or evil. Lust is just a natural instinct. Enjoy it!

Lust is just desire. There are good desires and bad desires, and if we consume ourselves with good desires we can become like that episode of The Twilight Zone. Where everything we ever wanted came to them-and they didn't really want it any more. The things they idolized weren't really very fulfilling after all.

Sometimes we have to control our desires for our own good and those around us. How many times have adolescent desires almost destroyed a home or young person?
So we moderate and control our behaviour-for our own best interests.

Lust is thought of as evil because it is a self-serving and selfish thing, it takes over your mind, it can lead to violent or disrespectful actions against others, and what good thing has ever come of it?

Yes, because God embedded it in to us that we are lto be lustful by nature just as all animals are in the animal kingdom. And, although, lust is nearly impossible to avoid and extremely difficult to resist, WE ARE GUILTY IF WE OBEY THESE URGES GOD GAVE US! WE DIDN'T ADOPT THIS SINFUL NATURE GOD GAVE IT TO US! LIKE ALL THE OTHER CAPACITIES THAT CORRUPT OUR LIVES THAT GOD GAVE US, LUST IS ANOTHER ONE THAT GOD GAVE US TO INCH US CLOSER TO HELL! Food for thought to religious morons.
