The etiquette for tipping is rather confusing, but a tip in a restaurant is generally 20%, and that is for the service and care you get in a resturant.
There is a web page that gives an example of tipping, last updated in 2006... I think it's a bit low, but it gives a good idea of what you can get away with ..... link below.
And for a pizza that was 22 bucks (or there about) I would pay 20% which is 4.40 so, $5 would be where I would give

That depends on how long I had to wait for the pizza and on the attitude of the person delivering it.
If I have to wait a long time and if the person has a bad attitude, no tip. But, if the delivery time is reasonable and the attitude of the person is okay, then on that amount I would probably tip five bucks.
I don't feel compelled to tip, I only tip based on service.

The usual tip for services is 10 - 15% of the total tab. And that depends on the quality of the service since it is delivery you could bring it up a little to 12 - 20% of the total tab.

Pizza delivery is difficult. Their tips barely pay for their gas. Your $3.43 tip is about 16 percent.

25 would be the minimum i would give....almost 3.5 dollars is not a bad tip....i would also take into consideration how far you are from the pizza place.....because they have to pay for their gas. how much would you have spent on gas getting there and back.

I would give they guy $25 and tell him to keep the change. If they don't like it, screw them. At least they got something.

15 percent would be 3.24 for a total of 24.81 so I would say you did good.
