The mark of the beast is a mark (could be 666) which is taken by those that do not believe in Christ as Savior. This will occur during a time which will come called the "Tribulation period" . This is a time when God will reign judgment on the earth. The anti Christ is the beast(Satan in the flesh) and he is the one that will demand you take the mark or you cannot buy or sell in the marketplace. The Tribulation period lasts 7 years and ends with the great battle where the nations of the world Storm down on Israel and a mighty battle called Armageddon takes place. At this point in time Christ will then return and set up His reign on earth for 1000 years. This period will be followed with the Great White Throne Judgment where all the non believers will be judged and cast into the lake of fire for eternity. That is just a quick synopsis to what is coming, the important question is where do you stand.

Wild beasts in the bible are usually if not always representing governments. Rulers or political powers.
Read Daniel where he explains the march of the world powers. Usually, when one goes down and another raises it is a change in beasts.
Daniel 7th chapter has a vision of world powers which is very faith inspiring how did he know the details of this march.
Using the restless sea as an example of restless humans.
Liken Babylon to a lion with wings like an Eagle.
The second we know was Medo-persia being like a bear.
The next was a leopard with 4 wings on his back. It had 4 heads. That was Alexander the Great who died young and left his rulership to his 4 generals. So his kingdom was divided to his 4 rulers.
The next was liken to iron that is crushing and grinding everything. A terrible ugly wild beast. and it had 10 horns.
That would have been Rome, it was a ruthless power.
That has had at least 10 kingdoms coming off it down through the ages.Up untill today.
Using that information we have to assume that this beast is also a government. By using the expression in the hand it could mean you would help it, like the saying "give me a hand"
Meaning to help this indivual.
Or in the forhead it could mean by giving it support mentally.
Like the saying "are you for the war?" "are you lending your support for the war?"
You may not actually be doing anything but mentally you do support it. Another tip is you can't buy or sell without the mark. Isn't the government on money? Read REvelation 13:
Could it be a coalition of forces? Satan says he is the ruler of the world and the goverments he told Jesus in his temtation.
One of its heads slaughtered could mean the death of one or departure of one of the leaders. That got healed!
North America was almost wipped out a short time in history ago. But during the first and second world war it became a large powerful country. People look at it admiringly
Does it brag? [mouth speaking great things] LIke they are going to bring democracy to the world. Verse 7
But to do the things it wants it may have to get rid of religion.
It may have to expose religion as the cause of war's.
Those who go to war with the holy ones what happens?
Then another country comes along as another wild beast.
Also, read Revelation 16:14 Where here again Satan gathers all the governments of the world to fight against God.
So this shows that all the governments would be involved at the very last. It is like figureing out a puzzle.

At the moment, the European Union is being turned into a superstate. The Beast will most likely rise to power as the president of that superstate. At the moment, the EU is working on plans to monitor all civilians with ID cards. The next step, and the technology is already being developed for this, is to implant a microchip into human beings. This will replace credit cards and will contain lots of personal information about that person. That is the mark of the beast. It'll be him who enforces this microchip technology.

A “mark” is left after something has been accomplished or experienced. The works of Shakespeare left a “mark” on the literary world. After a well-attended parade, a “mark” is left by the amount of litter left in the street. Jesus left his “mark” upon the world, and kept the “mark” in his hands and feet, which will one day prove him to be he who was anointed to become the Christ of this solar system. By no choice of their own, the Jews were “marked” for annihilation by Hitler’s regime, and those who John describes as “the saints” of God, receive a “mark” in their forehead as has been explained previously (in the book).
The “mark of the beast” is displayed in how we worship him (our works).
The “number of the beast” (666) is money.
There is not a person in this world that has not ALREADY received the “mark of the beast” in his or her “right hand”—not one!
It is impossible to live in this world without being affected in some way by commercialism, money, or the economic structures set up by the societies of the earth. Jewish custom taught that what one does with one’s “right hand” is a reflection of the actions one makes in his daily life. What one thinks and focuses upon, is represented by a “mark” in the “forehead.
The “name of the beast” is: The God of This World (our natural selves).
The greatest portion of our waking hours are spent in pursuit(“mark in right hand”) of the lifestyle (“the image of the beast”) we have imagined in our minds (“mark in their foreheads”) for our families and ourselves. Those who have the mark, or “seal of the Father in their forehead” think of others and how their actions affect the least among us, trying in every way possible to do unto others what they would want done unto them.
If you would like to understand all of Revelation, you can read the book at the website below.
It has set me free.

Hi,
The mark is in your head... which means your mind. Think about it! Do you think Satan is so stupid that he'll tattoo a number on your head or hand???? Any Christian or laymen for that matter has heard of the Mark of the Beast in some form or another. That mark will be your willingness to either support the Anti-Christ in thought or deed. God will seal his people with a mark in their heads too, but that mark isn't visible either....it's the fact that they have acknowledgement of what and who God is, and they give their alliance to him. Just like people will give their alliance to the Anti-Christ in thought and deed.....get it now. I don't think I can make it clearer than that. I hope I helped!

i think it is a spiritual mark for spiritual eyes to see. not everybody will be able to see this. i do feel that it will be on your forehead. and if you are not covered by the blood of Jesus. then we are subject to this mark because God has all of his children covered in Gods blood. and when judgement comes if God does not see HIS SON in you then you are subject to tormenting everlasting damnation.

There's no way to tell. The language of Revelations is so scrambled, and the book is so old, that there is no real way to interpret it. People try all the time but there's no point. The Big J sez, "No man knows the day or the hour," and that's how it is.
