Do whatever you have to do to get her to see a doctor - even at a hospital. Next time she blacks out call an ambulance.
It may be something straightforward that can be treated effectively without long term medication and it may also be very serious.
Incidents of blacking out or losing one's balance are considered serious by any doctor. You're her friend, she really needs you now.
She'll thank you for it later.
Good Luck.

Hi there 3 most common causes are hyper tension (very high blood presure) low blood presure or anemia loss iron in the blood
It really need checking as there are also some more serious conditions some of which can be fatal and we all know the earlier a condition is diagnosd and treated the better the chances of the treatment being succesful
Call NHS Direct or go on thier website
Some Asda stores have weighing machines that do you weight, height, blood presure and BMI if she wont go to the doctors take her to ASDA
If she is adament she wont see a doctor go to the chemist and speak to the pharmasist and he will pursuade her to go to the GP

GP NOW! Until this problem is resolved, she is a danger to herself and others. What if she falls in the middle of the road?Im not a doctor but to me this one's common sense. NHS Direct? They're not going to be helping her when she's blacked out in the middle of the road. Until this has happened she should not be left unaccompanied because her life is in danger.

Your friend needs to get to a GP as soon as possible there are many reasons why this may be happening and it needs to be sorted out. Low blood pressure will cause black outs (workmates husband has this and he faints regularly) but High Blood pressure will not (I know I have it and the GP told me you dont black out). It could be a mild form of epilepsy anything so please go get it checked and get her on the road to recovery.

all the others have told you what you need to do. ambulance is best, I had similar symptoms and was finally diagnosed with Addisons Disease which is fatal if not treated. Your friend probably not got this cos it very rare but obviously something very wrong. Override her on this Hun it could be a life or death situation and it much better to have a well angry friend than a dead one. God luck.God bless you both. She lucky to have a friend like you.x

Your friend had better go see a doctor right away. Could be life threatening like menningitis. Better to be safe than sorry.

Call an ambulance and tell them that you suspect she has Meningitis.
If she has, it is highly infectious.
This is how epidemics start through peoples stupidity.
