only if you rub it on your cheeks then you will get cancer and die

Well some of the stuff in it can kill the healthy bacteria "there" and cause an infection . Also if you are using one to get rid of odor it is possible you can have an infection and need to see a doctor. They are common .
Use mild soap (dove) or just plain water to clean there. Avoid highly scented things like washes powder etc.
