All Atheist like all individuals in other groups are different.. Some are genuinely nice, kind, caring people and some are not.
Whether or not you find them misguided is irrelevant each individual has the right to choose for themselves..

when i was 9 i prayed for my parents not to get divorced, they did. my dad has had 5 surgeries for medical problems and later had an accident that broke 9 of his bones. my mom is an alcoholic. 911 killed thousands of people causing devastation world wide, and I'm suppose to believe that this was all apart of god's doing. everyone can believe what they want but i say there's just too much hurt in the world to believe some fairy-tail story about god made everything and that there is a heaven or a hell. bury Me when i die and i will decompose just like every other living animal on this planet.

Sometimes, I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear
And I can't help but ask myself how much
I'll let the fear take the wheel and steer.
It's driven me before, and it seems to have a vague,
haunting mass appeal.
But lately I'm beginning to find that I
should be the one behind the wheel.
So, if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive?
Incubus - Drive
Anyone can ride, it takes a lot of courage to be a driver.

The ones I know personally are the only ones I feel I can speak of. I have found my Atheist friends to be forthright, supportive, loving and nurturing. Far from misguided.

I think everyone has the freedom in life to choose what they believe in or don't believe in. We are not here to judge other people's beliefs, as that is their right & their's alone.
Whether thry're misguided or not is not for us to decide.
We should not infringe on ayone else's beliefs, be they Christian or anything else.

To say we re misguided is a fallacy brought on by your naivete. More accurately, we are not guided at all, we are free thinkers who listen, read, learn and make our own decisions. We are not sheep, we do not follow guides blindly.

May I ask who's misguiding us?
There is no atheist movement. No atheist prophets, no atheist churches. Some schools don't teach religion but no school teaches UN-belief.
I can't e-mail you. You can e-mail me, do it.

I think you just generalized. I cannot answer that as I do not know every single atheist. See, I look at them as the individuals they are, I choose not to label them in a group.

I think they're wonderful human beings who know, for the most part, how to have a damn good discussion on religion with me, asking some really enlightened questions.
