If 7-11 is open 24 hours a day,?

365 days a year, why are there locks on the doors?

If there's an emergency and the employees have to leave, they can lock the store so it won't get robbed or anything.
Also, I think it might just be a city building code/law/requirement.

When you become a 7-11 employee, they are supposed to tell you (not all do I'm sure) that the locks are for emergencys. If someone robs the store you are supposed to wait until they leave, lock the doors and call the police. It doesn't always work out that way though.

To lock the doors in case of an emergency
If they aren't open all day on holidays
If they have to close early because they are remodeling or construction or something
And u can't really buy a door without locks

I would guess because all doors like that usually come with locks...it's just standard, plus its nice to have just in case, for some reason, you have to lock up.

I think so but it might depend on the location of the 7-11.

It's a regulation. If you want to have a business you have to have locks on most of the doors.

in case of emergency they can shut their store down without fear of luting because of an open door!

Once a manager told me when I worked there that there are times when they do their money transactions they sometimes close down for an hour or two.

that's what I was told. or maybe they just said that so I wouldn't know!!!

none funny answer but in many place store are required to lock up at night and go through a window for security reasons that and incase of natural diseasters forcing it to close

In case there is a murder. Then they have to lock the doors because it is a crime scene

They are supposed to be, but sometimes lat at night they might close for cleaning and or repairs... usually around 4-5 in am
