It looks easy to me. I'd thumbpick the A string (open) and flick down the C, and the double E notes. Most likely, the fingers I'd use to catch the C and the E in the fifth fret would dampen the D string so it won't ring out.

There are two ways, the correct way and the incorrect way that almost sounds the exact same way. Correct is to strum the top strings with the pick and pluck the A string with your ring finger, or you can just pluck all the strings with your fingers. The other way is to fret your ring finger on the B string, your middle finger frets the G string and you place your index on the D string but you dont fret it. In tabs it looks like X on the string

That looks like some kinda power chord. I would mute that string with a finger not involved in fingering the chord.

Or you could do a "pull" using the thumb and three other fingers. Without knowing the song or style, its sort of hard to figure out exactly, but there's a few ideas.
