You get it at the windows website.
Or just type in direct x into an address bar and it should link you to the download.

even if u have Vista do u have a dx10 supported graphics card like the 8800,8600, or ati 2900 series

I dont think you can download it, but the newer computers, like mine, have it in them already. Oh and you also need vista.

if you have vista, it should up in software updates, from windows update. if you dont have vista, forget it.
