It depends! I had a cat that would have been overweight at 10 lbs and another that would have been underweight. Here's a body condition scoring chart, it is what your vet would use if you asked them :)

all the adult cats I've had weighed 10-11 lbs as adults. The vet tells me they should be under 10 lbs. I know mine eats more than she should, and she likes to munch all during the day and night, but I figure she has a lot of muscles and bones she needs to keep healthy and she's still fairly young and a large cat. So I think 10 is fine. For mine I'd think she could lose a pound if she were old.

HAHA that cat is like a dwarf to my cat. My cat wieghs 17 pounds...we bottle fed him from a tiny kitten and he is HUGE now. We think he is like a Maine Coon cat or something. Oh and our cat is quiet young and is not fat at all so i dont even want to know how much he will wiegh when he does get old and fat

no my cat is 18 lbs and a friend has a 22 lbs cat. that is average. i know 5 month old kittens that weigh that much.

the average is between 7 and 12 pounds

It depends completley on age and size.(as in height and length)

It doens't sound fat though.

mmm idont know but if it just lays there and cant walk much then yes...my uncles cat was so fat they had to put it asleep...they couldnt do anything else...

My cats are fatter. I can promise you that. So I don't think your cat is fat at all.

Well... It really depends on the breed. It doesn't SOUND too fat.
