It is optional in many work environments in America now thanks to dress code policy changes designed to accomodate LGBT and gender identity under FEDERAL laws. There are number of major league companies and hundreds of small businesses that now have transgender people working for them including crossdressers both male and female.

Nabisco, Oreo, Walmart, Honda, GM, Toyota, Nike, Verizon, GEICO, COSTCO, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, Fandango, Regal Cinemas, Apple, Google, Angie's List, CraigsList, all of the U.S. major banks, all U.S. government agencies and government contractors as well as the entire U.S. military -- which has over 15,000 transgender people serving as of 2015, have policies that not only accomodate transgender people and LGBT couples, but they enforce those policies under a FEDERAL law passed in June 2014 which has been made enforceable by the Department of Justice in December 2014.

ALL of these businesses have one thing in common -- an open gender identity dress code policy. As a direct result, the LGBT and gender identity community both frequent these companies and the benefits are huge -- self advertising...their employees literally advertise for them and as a result they have become economic powerhouses hands down. Basically, the more inclusive your company is the more money or profit you will make as a result. Being open has it's benefits and 99% of the time they are economic.

The world is changing...change with it or your business will be left behind...

I doubt the policy was extended to the males of the company. It is sad but I can understand their reasoning I mean nothing else looks badder than to see a wonderfully put together outfit on an employee that works in a store and when you ask where they got their outfit and hear another stores name.

I would hope that this policy was written meaning to exclude the male employees. I doubt if anyone really thinks this can be enforced. Isn't it illegal in some states to cross-dress in public?

You misunderstand the policy. They aren't going to force their male employees to dress like women. That's ridiculous. (But I bet you'd look cute in a mini.) Ask Personnel to clarify this for you; you'll see.

That's funny! Do they have to shave their legs too?
I don't think you can make it mandatory for employees to cross dress as that would be a cruel and unusual condition of work.

No. Knickers are appropriate but not skirts and dresses. Kilts are somewhat accpetable in most office places these days too. Toodles!

no it is not. That is just plain ridiculous. It sounds like the owner has a problem in the head of some kind. I would quit.

How do I get a job with your company? If you like to dress-up as a girl, you've got it made, but if you don't like, you might get used to it eventually.
